MSTR - Scar Release

Scar tissue can be more than just a mark on the skin. It often affects deeper layers of muscles, fascia, and other tissues, leading to pain, restricted movement, numbness and also emotional stress. McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release (MSTR) is a gentle yet highly effective therapy designed to reactivate the cells of the scar tissue as much as possible and thereby promoting a deep healing, that is softening and releasing tension in the scar tissue, restoring flexibility and sensations of the body.
It was developed by Alastair McLoughlin and has shown remarkable results in improving the appearance, texture, and mobility of scars while reducing pain and discomfort associated with them. Unlike more invasive methods, MSTR is applied gently to the skin and surrounding tissues without causing additional trauma.

BENEFITS OF MSTR THERAPY

Improved Range of Motion: Scars can restrict movement, causing discomfort or stiffness. MSTR helps restore normal tissue movement, allowing for greater flexibility and range of motion.
Pain Reduction: Scar tissue can cause localized or referred pain. For example back pain can be related to a cessarian scar. MSTR has been proven to alleviate pain and discomfort linked to scarring.
Balanced Sensitivity: Areas around the scar can lose movement or suffer from heightened sensitivity due to nerve damage. The treatment stimulates the regeneration of the affected nerves.
Enhanced Appearance of Scars: This therapy softens scars, reduces their prominence, and improves the texture and pliability of the skin.
Emotional Healing: Scars can carry emotional weight, particularly those from surgeries or injuries. By releasing scar tissue, MSTR also supports emotional release and healing.
Supports Recovery: MSTR assists in post-surgical recovery and healing by helping the body function more optimally.

MSTR therapy is effective for a wide range of scars, including:
Surgical scars (e.g., C-sections, mastectomy, joint surgeries)
Injury scars (from accidents, burns, or lacerations)
Cosmetic procedure scars
Old scars (even those that are years or decades old)
Adhesions from surgeries or trauma

HOW DOES MSTR WORK?
MSTR is based on a hands-on technique that applies a focused and light touch to the scar and surrounding tissues. This touch encourages the release of tension, breaks down adhesions, and promotes healing. The therapy session is pain-free and requires no tools or needles. Depending on the size and nature of the scar, multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results.
